A Word from the Director

Program Chairman Edward D. French, Ph.D.

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope the information we have provided answers most of your questions about our graduate program. As you can see, its interdisciplinary nature provides our students with a wide array of research opportunities and a flexibility to customize their education to their research interests and career goals. This is an exciting time for the disciplines of pharmacology and toxicology. The breakneck discoveries in molecular and cellular sciences are fueling an increasing need for scientists who can contribute to drug discovery and development, and to the identification of processes underlying drug or environmental toxicities. It is also our intent to graduate our students in a timely manner and to facilitate their employment prospects upon graduation. Our program has been very successful in these endeavors in large part because of the dedication of its faculty to these principles and the exceptional quality of our graduate students. If you would like further information please feel free to contact any of the faculty or students listed on our website.

Sincerely,

Edward D. French, Director,
Graduate Program in Pharmacology and Toxiclogy
