*400 level biochemistry courses are considered deficiency coursework and will not count toward your degree unit requirements (see below). If you have already completed a 400 level biochemistry course, please contact the Program Office. At least forty-five (45) units of coursework (excluding the dissertation units earned) must be in the major field which includes at least six (6) units of elective coursework. At least nine (9) units of coursework must be in the minor field.
